UN chief: #EndFGM by 2030, for the sake of our "common future"
UN Chief António Guterres has called for greater commitment and intensifying of global action against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), for the sake of all affected women and girls, and our “common future,” in a message to mark the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation. Some 200 million women and girls in 30 countries throughout Africa, the Middle East and Asia have been subjected to FGM.
